Written Instructions for ToeTape Shin Splint Application

Step 2 ) Pre-Application Tips

Apply to Clean & Dry skin


After application rub the tape in for best adhesion


Wear ToeTape through the night


Apply new tape every 24 hours for best results


Apply 1 Hour before activity

Do not stretch the last 2 inches of the tape for proper adhesion

Cut away any peeling tape edges to make the application last longer

POSITIONING

Sit with knee bent slightly and point toes away from the shin.

Step 3 ) Tearing Paper

Twist to tear the white paper backing on each of the three strips. Long Strip 1-2 inches from end. Short Strips in Center.

Step 4) Long Strip Application

ANCHOR: Place one full strip at the base of the shin, just above the ankle with 0% stretch.

APPLY: Lay the tape upward along the shinbone over the painful area using 50-70% stretch.

FINISH: Last 2" should be applied with 0% stretch & rub tape in.

Step 5 ) Short Strip Application

SHORT TAPE STRIP 1 APPLICATION

  • APPLY: With 75% stretch, place the center of the second strip below the point of pain, running perpendicular to the shin.
  • ANCHOR: Lay down ends of tape across shin with 0% stretch &  rub tape in.

SHORT TAPE STRIP 2 APPLICATION

Repeat Short Tape Strip 1Application steps with the second short strip, but move the application above the point of pain & rub all tape in to adhere the adhesive properly.

Step 6 ) Rubbing in

Rub the tape in to ensure proper adhesion. Wait at least 1 hour before activity to let the tape fully set.
